Easter Fun 2011

Well the Easter weekend began on Thursday morning when I woke up to find my first Easter basket. It was filled with all kinds of goodies but mostly mermaid stuff since that's what I really like right now.

Once we got up and ready, we were off to visit with Dad's family. We did a lot of stuff while we were there: I went to an egg hunt at the conservatory, got my nails done for Easter, and visited with lots of family. It was a busy weekend but I had a lot of fun. On Easter morning, we went to church and then had dinner with family before driving back home. We were all pretty exhausted once we got home but we had a wonderful Easter, despite all the rain!

Hanging with Mommy

This weekend, Daddy had a lot to do with work and other projects, so it was a Mommy-Daughter kind of weekend. We had a lot of fun shopping and getting our nails done. It was the first time I had ever had them done in the shop with Mommy so it was kinda a new experience. Of course, I had to get purple! I sat so still and everyone was impressed with how still I sat. I guess they didn't know that Mommy does my nails all the time at home, at my request. It was a nice fun weekend together. To finish it off, we went to get "pink" ice cream.

A Little Behind . . .

Well we are a little behind but a few updates are overdue . . .

We recently went to see Sesame Street Live with Elmo. It was super special because Mamaw and Papaw came up too. It was a lot of fun and Papaw even bought me a souveniere. I love it! It was so much fun!

This past week, I got strep throat and it was a hard week because all I wanted to do was sleep. It was also hard on Mommy and Daddy because this week was their Winter Break. I am sorry I got sick because it really wasn't much of a break. We are happy to report that I am feeling much better but still not eating too much. I am sure that will come around.

During my time at home, Daddy and I were being so silly - I wouldn't let Mommy do my hair because I just did not feel up to it - so I went with the natural look. Daddy thought he would cheer me up by putting on his old wig.

Tonight, I tested for my purple belt in Tae Kwon Do - so yes, I am now officially a PURPLE BELT in Tae Kwon Do. I got a little shy by all the people there to test but I was proud to step up and bow to get my new belt.

I am a Yellow Belt Now

I have started my second session of Tae Kwon Do and I am having fun. Mom and Dad switched my class to Friday night and that has turned out to be good. I really like my new teacher and Mom does too. He really encourages us to do the moves on our own and he is helping me to not need Mommy right there to do it. It is really fun. Now that I have completed my first session and received my yellow belt, I am really getting into it now. This week, MOm and Dad told me that they are going to get me a uniform so that I am official. I really do enjoy being active and having fun. Mom and Dad like it because it is also teaching me discipline and structure. I just like to go because I am having fun. So I guess we are all happy with the class. I will keep you posted as I progress.

Christmas with the Family

This Christmas was so fun! Mom and Dad commented on how much more fun it was since I am older. Santa was good to me and we had so much fun with the family.

The fun started when I got my "new room". Mom and Dad transformed it and surprised me and I just love it!

On Friday, we headed to my Aunt and Uncle's house to start the holiday with family. On Friday, we had so much fun - watching movies, playing around and just being together. We even got to open a present since it was Christmas Eve.

On Saturday, we woke up and Santa had made a visit to the house and left lots of goodies. It was such a fun day filled with fun!

Once the whole crew got there on Sunday, the house was filled with family, love, and fun! We had an awesome time!

Busy Times . . .

Well this weekend was a busy one, but fun nonetheless! On Friday night, I had my Korean Tea Ceremony where I was testing for my yellow belt. It was my first session in Tae Kwon Do and I learned some tumbles, kicks, and punches. The coolest part is that I got to work with the Master to break a board with my foot! I was kind of nervous because there were so many people there but I still completed my mission - yellow belt! I will join my next session which starts in January.

Putting on my previous white belt.

Finishing my bear crawls.

Getting some coaching tips from Mommy.

My new yellow belt from the Master.

On Saturday morning, we got up bright and early for Breakfast with Santa. I went with my Godbrother and we had a lot of fun together. We got to play together, eat pancake breakfast, and visit with Santa. I kept my distance from Santa but he was pretty cool, he even went down the slide with some of the kids.

Santa was sitting by me but I didn't want him to know that I knew.

Santa was really nice but maybe next year!

Had fun with my Godbrother.

Later that day, we drove down to visit with my Uncle, Aunt, and cousins. We went to hang out and pick up a toddler bed. While we were there, they took us to a sledding place and we had a blast. It was so much fun and I cannot wait to do it again.

Prepared for some fun.

Having fun sledding with Daddy.

And there are only 6 days until Christmas! Have a happy and safe holiday!!!

Weekend Winter Fun

The last two weekends have been filled with Winter Fun! Last weekend, we went to Noel Night where all of the museums, etc. are open to the public. They also had lots of yummy kettle corn and we ended of the evening by singing carols. It was a lot of fun to explore.

Today, it has been snowing all day and since it was terribly cold yet, we went outside to have some fun. I really liked making snowballs and throwing them at mommy. The whole family had so much fun being trapped at home in the snow!
