Since we are a little behind in our updates, we want to catch you up on all the fun this month. We have been busy every weekend and having some fun while we are at it . . .
Over the Labor Day weekend, we had a family mini-vacation with Mom's family. We went to the Newport Aquarium, took in some of the activities of the Freedom Fest, played at the waterpark called The Beach, and just had a ton of fun! My favorite was definitely the aquarium, I loved it! As you can see, I pointed out all of the wonderful things that I saw. The Beach was pretty cool but the water was a little cool for me. What fun!
The following weekend, I had another amazing experience because Mom and Dad took me to the UniverSoul Circus. Somehow they had managed to get front row seats and I had the best time. I loved every single act. I sat up and was mesmerized the entire time. I cannot wait to go every year now! We weren't allowed to take pictures but we tried to at least get a few . . . don't tell!
This past weekend was a busy one too because we had two birthday parties to attend. We went to Ohio to visit Mom's family because it was my cousin's birthday. We went to my Uncle's football game on Friday night and that was my first! It was a blast hanging out with my cousins. On Saturday, we celebrating her birthday with a Wow, Wow, Wubbzy party! Then that evening, we were off to Indiana to celebrate Dad's aunt and cousin's birthday with a fish fry! Wow, was there a ton of food! It was fun, I enjoyed playing with the other kids. On Sunday before we left we gathered at Great Granny's house for lunch and we were back on the road home. It was fun but busy! I slept SOOOO good when we got home!
Other than that, things have been great! I had a runny nose lately but it has gotten better over the past two days so I am doing much better. We think it is just the weather changing back and forth! Daycare is good, I like the kids and my teachers and I do not cry anymore when Mom or Dad leaves. I am such a big girl. I am running around, climbing on everything, and keeping Mom and Dad busy!

So Much to Do Now That I am Moving . . .
Where do I even start? I am walking and am getting more and more speedy with my walking. I love to walk outside, play outside, walk in the malls and stores, and just be on the move in general.
I am still doing better with my new transition to daycare and have even stopped crying in the mornings. It is an adjustment for all of us with schedules and all but we are really working to make sure that we have family times and activities to spend time together. We went to one of the local festivals and enjoyed the sun but definitely not the heat and humidity so we did not last too long.

Yesterday, we were scheduled to go to the zoo for family day but the weather just wasn't going to cooperate so we went to a mall and walked around and had dinner. That was a blast! I enjoyed playing in the play area with the other kids but most of all, I loved walking with mom through the mall. I waved at all the people who passed and just walked as much as I could. (Sorry for the poor picture quality, Mom forgot the camera)

Finally, one of my most favorite things to do is to play in my new play area that Mom and Dad developed in the backyard for me. I have so many activities to do that I can just play and play. I have even had a couple of playdates with friends and a recent visit to the splash pad. What fun!

My First Week and Mom's First Week
Last week marked my first week in daycare and Mom's first week on her new job. It was a pretty good week but we were both pretty tired. I am enjoying daycare so far although I do not like when Mom has to leave me in the morning. I enjoy playing with the other kids, singing, and dancing, but I am having a bit of separation anxiety. I am getting better though! I am going to be just fine and so is Mom, as soon as we get used to these early mornings . . .

Party, Party, Party
This weekend was my very first birthday party! It was all planned out and the guests were coming . . . we woke up to thunderstorms that were severe and continued all through the morning. The inflatable was set up in the backyard and the rain continued . . . Mom made a decision to move the party inside so we got started on the decorations, food, toys, and play area. It actually turned out ok. The party was fun, the kids enjoyed playing downstairs, making crafts, and the rain even let up long enough for us to get to use the inflatable for a couple of hours! It was a Pinky Dinky Doo party and I was the guest of honor! What fun!

Happy Birthday to Me!
Today was my official 1st birthday! It was pretty fun but I am looking forward to the weekend for my real celebration. Today, Mom and Dad took me to lunch and to play at the mall. While we were there, I got to make my first Build a Bear! Mom and Dad let me pick out the animal I wanted, the outfit, and well Mom picked out the shoes because I couldn't decide. It was fun. I named the cat, "Cutesy". She is pretty cute, just like me. All in all, it was a fun day but I will let you know how the party goes on Saturday.

The Life of the Party . . . or NOT?
So I was definitely NOT the life of this party!
Saturday was my Godbrother's 2nd birthday and we were all excited to go. I am getting my top two teeth though and I was feeling a bit cranky throughout the morning. I had to go though, I had a great dress, we got great gifts, and it was at the Science Center, it should be fun right? Fun, for who? My teeth hurt! You know how you go to a party and there is always a fussy kid, and everyone is secretly wondering, who is that fussy kid? I am sad to report that on this day, that fussy kid was me! Yes, me! Happy, playful, adventurous me! I did warm up a couple of times but other than that, I just wanted to get home, eat, and nap! I am really working this week to get these teeth in so that for my party this weekend, I definitely CAN be the life of the party!

More Breaking News About Our First Scare
We were going to update you on our visit to Java Jungle this week but more important news has emerged . . . As many of you may know, I have been such a healthy baby from the time that I was born. My pediatrician commented on it at every well visit. Well, it seems that almost year of health and wellness is now cathing up with me. I am only a week shy of turning one, and I am falling apart. Wow, I understand what people talk about now when they say that they are falling apart with age . . .
As I updated you before, I had to be rushed to the ER for a super high fever and then to the doctor on Friday for a check up. It appeared that things were going to turn around for me after the check up with the doctor since things looked better. I was taking my amoxicillin every morning and evening as instructed and I was sleeping through the night. Until . . .
. . . I woke up yesterday morning and Mom noticed my cheeks weren't just rosy, they were covered in a rash. How could this have happened? I was doing what the doctor had ordered, we didn't understand. Mom was pretty freaked out when she went to change me and put an outfit on me. It wasn't just my cheeks, I was covered with a rash; my cheeks, neck, back, arms, legs, and even a little on my feet. What had happened? Well since Mom saw that, she immediately called my pediatrician and they got me in yesterday afternoon. Good thing! Once we got in with the doctor, Mom updated her on my condition and told her about my change to milk. The doctor said immediately upon looking ar my rash - "she's allergic to the amoxicillin"! What?!? She asked if Mom or Dad was and no, they were not. I guess I am! She told us to stop the amoxicillin and to take oatmeal baths. Dad thought that was pretty funny! Mom immediately packed up from the doctor to head to CVS to get some Aveeno bath wash and lotion. She was able to find some oatmeal and fragrance free for my ezcema. Last night, Mom gave me a bath in it and coated me with lots of the oatmeal lotion. This morning, I woke up and my rash had started to merge together, it looks so wierd! What am I going to do about my birthday party?!? The doctor said we should see some improvements within a week but come on, a girl has to look her best for her party, right! The good thing is that I am getting back to myself, I am feeling much better, playing better, and eating better too. I am sure that Mom will update you on my condition . . .
