Pulling Up

This week I have really begun to get serious about trying to walk. I am pulling up on everything. Even when I sit with someone, I am climbing all over them just to try to pull up and stand. I love standing. When Mom or Dad has me sit down, I do not like it at all and sometimes even whine. Earlier in the week, Mom was working in the living room while I was playing with the music center. In only a couple of minutes, she looked up to see me standing and holding on to to the top of it. Last night, Mom was determined to catch me in the act. She did - take a look! I have a whole routine: 1. Sit and play for a minute 2. Push the center away 3. Post up on my knees 4. Stand almost 5. Stand and squeal

A Day of Rememberance on Memorial Day

Yesterday, we all took a chance to remember those you have given their lives for us. It was a day in which my Mom told me about both of her grandfathers who had fought in wars and have since passed, as well as my FriendDaddy who is still living in Alabama. I was fortunate enough to go to two Memorial Day parades and even had an outfit to show my support. I enjoyed waving my flag and showing my support at the parades. The band was my favorite part of both parades, I enjoyed hearing them play because as you all know, I love music. All in all, it was a wonderful day to spend with family and remember those from my family.

Swinging . . .

Since the weather has been so nice lately, Dad got up this morning and put my new pink swing up in the backyard. I love swinging . . . anytime we go to the park, I just love it. I laugh and have a good time. Today, I was so excited to ride in my new swing and I am not sure if Mom and Dad know what they have gotten themselves into; I am going to want to swing everyday!

Happy (Belated) Mother's Day!

We are a little late for wishing you a Happy Mother's Day, but we hope you had a wonderful one nonetheless! My mom had a great day and I believe that I had a major part of that.

We spent the weekend as a family and with family to celebrate Mom's very first Mother's Day. On Friday, since it was so nice outside, we took my godbrother with us and headed to the zoo. It was a beautiful day outside and we had a wonderful time. (As you can tell from the pictures)

Can You Believe It? 9 Months Old!

Today I am officially 9 months old. It is so hard for Mom and Dad to believe that I am getting this old. Truthfully, it is hard for me to believe as well. I am coming into my own, as you adults might say. I am developing quite a personality, trying to be Miss Independent, and beginning to always want my way. That has become a challenge for Mom and Dad since anytime I want something but I cannot have it, I cry. Unfortunately, I think Mom and Dad have caught on to my trick and it isn't working so well anymore. I continue to grow and do new things like standing. Everyone always ask if I am crawling but I really don't want to right now. Mom and Dad put me on my belly a couple of times during the day but I just don't like that position. I always do something to sit up or turn over. I am strong enough to push up but I am just not interested right now. I do however like to stand. I like to stand in my crib, holding the couch, or Mom and Dad's hand. Today, I only had Mom's finger, cause I am still a little unsteady, but I am gaining my courage. I use my push walker that you see hear but Mom or Dad is always close by in case of a tumble. I still enjoy playing, singing, and talking and I love baby dolls. I still gag sometimes when I eat but I have started eating baby food dinners each evening. I still do not like going to sleep (but I am getting better), peas, carrots, men who are not around me a lot, and getting things taken from me. I am pretty happy baby who really enjoys being able to do more and more things. Pretty soon, I will be one! WOW!
