Lots of Updates . . .

Well we are really behind so we are going to quickly catch you up on my life since turning two. Since I turned two, I have become so much more mature and can hold full conversations with people. I have started to settle down from those "terrible twos" and really just enjoying everything.

After my birthday, I had lots of fun activities that came up. I attended the African Festival with Mom and Dad during August and had a ball. I loved the African dancers and drums. It was so fun to watch.

For Labor Day, we went to hang out with Daddy's family and visited the local zoo. I love animals so going to different zoos is always a blast! My favorite animal is the "be-raffe" as I call them, but you may know them as giraffes :) I even picked that as my Halloween costume. We had a lot of fun and I even got to see the be-raffe up close and personal.

The following weekend, Mom and Dad had gotten me tickets to the UniverSoul Circus. We go every year and it is so much fun! I loved it. The tigers were very cool and as you can see, I was mezmerized by the whole thing.

Later in September, we went to visit my cousins because it was my cousin's birtday. We had a fun and I licked all the icing off the cupcakes!

Just a couple of weeks ago, we went to go see Yo Gabba Gabba again. I saw them back in April but this time was so much fun because I am older now and really enjoyed myself with my friends and his Mommy and Daddy. And yes, that is "The" Biz Markie!

That same weekend, I was supposed to go to the zoo with Mommy's friend and her son but I was kinda sick so we had to wait and go later that weekend. It was so much fun and I loved getting my hand painted (wasn't letting them touch my face), walking through the corn maze, the hayride and seeing the animals. It was a blast!

Just last weekend, I helped Daddy to rake the leaves and put them in pumpkin bags to put in the front yard, it was so fun to help!

Right now, I love learning! I am a complete sponge. I love reading and everytime I go to the store, I insist that Mommy and Daddy buy me more. At daycare, I usually like to sit at the table and read while all the other kids play around. It is one of my favorite things to do as well as lay on the floor and watch "Diego". I promise I will stay on Mommy to keep everyone updated - it has been busy around our house but we will do better . . .

My 2nd Birthday and Party

Well I have officially turned 2 years old! Yes, I have been acting like a 2 year old but now it is official! I had a lot of fun! On my birthday which was Friday, Mamaw and Papaw came up early and spent the day with me. We went out to eat and had a lot of fun hanging out with each other. That night we got lots of sleep because on Saturday, it was the big day!

That morning, Mom got up and began putting the finishing touches on the party. This year, I chose Yo Gabba Gabba! because it is my favorite right now. It was a little challenging for Mom and Dad because there is not much out there Yo Gabba Gabba. We got creative and put together some fun things to decorate with and give the other kids.

As the party got started, I could not believe the people who came! It was so fun - my aunts and uncles, cousins, friends, etc. showed for the party. It was a perfect day for weather and we spent the day outside.

I was having so much fun but it was time to get ready for the cake . . . this year, we got cupcakes for the kids and a cake for the adults. It worked out perfectly because the kids got to chose their cupcakes with rings. It was a lot of fun and I certainly enjoyed my cupcake.

Opening presents was fun too but I am only 2 so my attention span is quite short. I opened some of the gifts but let Mom help out and I just checked in to see what all I had gotten. I got the best toys - lots of Little People sets, Mrs. Potato Head from Toy Story, Jesse from Toy Story, clothes, and lots of other fun stuff.

It was so much fun and now that I am 2, I have some new things that I am working on . . . I hate wearing my diaper so we have begun the BEGINNING stages of trying to potty train. We are all hoping that moves along quickly. I have my 2 year old appointment on Friday so I will be sure to give the updates!

Picture Time

Yesterday was the day that we had set up for my 2 year photos. There is a key part of that sentence too - the 2 year part! I really gave the photographer the flux, he soon became to realize that I was now in charge of this photo shoot. Since it was my 2 year we decided to try to get a family shot. This proved to be easier said that done early on. The photographer got Daddy situated and wanted me to sit on his lap but I wasn't feeling that set up and decided that I was sitting on the floor! So we positioned everyone else around me. We did ultimately get a pretty decent family shot . . .

And that was only the beginning . . . it got even more challenging in getting my individual shots. I made silly faces, hit at the photographer who was trying to get me to smile, and much more. Here are some of our favorites.

Family Vacation

We just returned to reality from our week long family vacation. It was so much fun and I got to spend some time with the rest of the family because Mamaw, Papaw, Uncle De and Aunt S, N and S, Uncle Da, Aunt T, S and A, and Mommy, Daddy and I all went. We started our adventure by heading to Mamaw and Papaw's to meet up with the rest of the family.

We packed up and were on our way to Gatlinburg, Tennessee. We made a stop for a late breakfast in Kentucky and then were back on the road to our resort. When we got there, we were all so excited to get settled into the resort. We were in the very last cabin at the top of the mountain so it was a great view.

During the week, we had so much fun and visited a lot of the places in and around Gatlinburg. We could have used even more days because there was still more we wanted to do. I guess we will have to plan another trip soon.

Fun at the Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies . . .

Hiking up to Cataract Falls . . .

Playing at Dollywood . . .

Trip to Cherokee, NC for reservation . . .

Swimming . . .

Hanging with my cousins . . .

What a fun time!
