4 Month Doctor's Appointment

I know that I am almost 5 months old but due to my schedule and my doctor's, Monday was the first available appointment. Things went well. My latest stats are as follows:
Weight - 13 lbs and 15 ozs (50%)
Height - 25.5 in (75%)

The doctor thinks I am going to be tall and slim, just what Mom and Dad had hoped for! Mom and Dad told him all of the things that I am doing now and he said I am very strong and don't be surprised if I walk very early. I didn't even cry the entire time . . .

Well that was until the shots came. Those were tough. The nurse stuck the needle so far in my leg, Dad even asked if it really needed to go that far in. He was looking out for me. I managed to pull it together though once the shots were over and left the doctor's okay, but not as good as when I came in. All in all, it went well.

Today on the other hand . . . has been tough. My legs are so sore and I have a fever. Mom was sort of freaked out but after a couple of doses of Tylendol throughout the evening, it came down slowly. I am resting now and hopefully I will have a better night!

Christmas in Florida

I spent my first Christmas in Florida! On last Monday, we packed up and headed out for a week in Orlando with Dad's family to celebrate the holiday. We were all very excited but a little nervous about how I would be on my first plane ride. On the way down, I had my pacifier ready for the take off and I slept right through the landing, so I would say that I did pretty good.

Overall, it was a great week! I do have to say though, I am not sure why Mom and Dad chose living where it was cold, I much prefer Florida. I loved being outside and watching everything without having to be bundled up from head to toe. I even was able to sport my new sandals!

We did some shopping (mostly window shopping) and walking around. We also vistited some of the places around town. I was just along for the ride, so I just tried to take it all in. On Christmas day, we spent some time with the family and my Aunt even got me stocking from Epcot; I was very surprised and I really likes it, it was so soft. That evening, we went to a restaurant called T Rex in Downtown Disney for the holiday. It was a pretty cool place but there were dinosaurs everywhere. I needed a nap from a busy day, but these things just kept making noises.

One of the highlights of my trip was swimming for the first time. We all were not sure if I would enjoy it, being that my baths are not my favorite. Dad eased me in slowly but by the time Mom got in, I was having a blast. I even got brave enough to lay back in the water and let Mom float me around. Everyone at the pool just stopped and watched me, I guess they were curious how I would respond as well. I did use lots of sunscreen and Mom had even got me swimmer diapers so I was set. Dad got me the best hat and it even matched with my swimsuit, You know that is a must!

On Saturday of our trip, we visited with Mom's family on the coast. We drove down early and spent the day. My aunt had cooked lots of food and so we enjoyed that and visiting with family. I enjoyed meeting some of my aunts, uncles, and cousins for the first time. It was so much fun and I really loved hanging outside. It was sad to say goodbye, but we headed back that evening to pack and prepare for our departure back to the cold! I slept like a log most of the night in order to prepare for my plane trip back.

We woke up early this morning to head to the airport. We got there in plenty of time and found out that we had a delay because of winds back home. We took our time and got some breakfast and I caught a quick nap. Before we could even take off, I was enjoying another nap! I slept so good with Mom and despite a little girl behind us misbehaving the entire trip, I did not waver. I was not going to let her ruin my beauty sleep. She could cry and scream and act up, but not me, I was an angel. I slept almost the entire trip and woke up when the pilot said to prepare for descent! When I woke up, I was the talk of the passengers, I was smiling at everyone! They enjoyed me much more than the screaming girl behind me. At least for this time right? Well we made it back home safely and I am tucked in my bed for the night.

Merry Christmas and Stay Tuned

Well I just wanted to take a moment to wish everyone a Very Merry Christmas! I'm in Florida right now with Mom, Dad, and Dad's family but as soon as I get back, I will let you know how it all went as well as post some great pictures! Just a sneek peek . . . I'm going swimming tomorrow. What a nice break from the 10+ inches we left behind.

Merry Christmas!

Christmas Pajamas and Packing Preparations

Don't I just look adorable in my Christmas pajamas? This is a pair that my cousin gave to me; they are nice and comfy and warm so I thought I would give them a try. I have a special pair from Mamaw and Papaw also that I will be wearing on Christmas Eve so look for more pictures to come.

We are preparing to leave on Monday for sunny Florida. At least that is what we are hoping for! It is my first plane ride, so Mom and Dad have been carefully planning how to manage all the luggage items that I have to take. I have the largest suitcase of all, stroller, carrier, and car seat. WOW! Dad already said that I am a diva! He even got me my first shoes and I will take them on the trip. There sure is a lot of preparation for a girl on the move! Keep you posted!

My Holiday Song for You!

Well I am officially a singing diva! Mom and I have so much fun singing. Dad of course thinks we are nuts but it is part of our bonding time together. Since it is close to Christmas, we have been practicing Jingle Bells and I am getting pretty good, especially at the "hey" part. I even got all dressed up in my Christmas dress for a few pre-Christmas pictures and since we were in the spirit, we sang the night away. Check us out on our recording at the attached website. Let us know what you think, should Mariah Carey watch out?

4 Months Old on Noel Night

Last night I had a lot of fun because not only did I turn 4 months old, I also got to participate in my first Christmas celebration. In case you are not familiar - in one of the major cities near where I live, they open up a portion of town and all the museums are free to the public. Mom and Dad thought since I loved our Christmas tree so much, I might really love to walk through these festivities. Our first stop was at the Historical Museum, where we learned more about the city. Mom and Dad also joined me in meeting Santa and Mrs. Clause. That was not the highlight though. The true highlight was when we went to get up and I pulled Santa's beard. Now, I always pull Mom's hair but they just thought that was a game I play. Well I showed them. Dad had to literally pry each one of my fingers off of Santa's beard so that he could have it back. We will never forget that one! Our next stop was to check out some of the new condos they are building, and finally we stopped at the Art Institute. It was pretty cool but it was getting to my bedtime and I started feeling a little tired. It was such a cool place, with Christmas decorations, and things hanging from the ceiling that I had to stay awake. Mom and Dad thought this would be a good place to end our night before I really fell out! On our way home, I crashed and slept pretty good last night. It was a nice evening out.

I am having fun and can't believe that I am already 4 months. Here is what I am all about now . . .

Do You LIke My Hat?

Yes,I know. It is still a little big, but doesn't it look cute? Mom and Dad can't seem to find me a winter hat anywhere so I got this one. Sure, I have plenty of hats but not winter hats. I guess Mom and Dad didn't realize they had to start so early to get me a great winter hat. Never to be let down, Mom and Dad searched until we finally found a great set. Yes, it is still a little big but it works! Mom thought I looked pretty cute in this one but we will be sure to show you the new one once I try it out!

I know we are a couple of days late but we wanted to say Happy Thanksgiving to you all! We hope that you were able to enjoy family, friends, good food, and good times together.

I went on another roadtrip to see Granny for a couple of days and then was back on the road to see Mamaw, Papaw, and the cousins. It has been a blast to see everyone. I am having so much fun and am thanksful for family most during this time of year. HAPPY THANKSGIVING and be thankful for all!

Grabbing . . .

I am at the point now where you have to look out! I am on a mission to grab anything I can. Now, I cannot move too great yet but I scoot myself enough to get to what I am trying to get. Mom has been working with me to grab at toys and well she did it now! I grab alright. And since I am a slabber machine, everything goes in my mouth. Mom and Dad are working to make sure anything in my reach is able to safely go in my mouth. I have a few toys that I like to play with and this is one that is the easiest for me to grab and take straight to my mouth! Look out!

My First Snow

I have officially seen snow! It is so pretty, I loved watching it out the picture window in the living room so Mom thought this would be the perfect opportunity to test out one of my snowsuits. I got all suited up and went outside for a minute or two, just long enough really to document my first snow. I really enjoyed it and I did not even get cold. My snowsuit is a little big but very warm. Mom bundled up with me but you see my silly Dad with no coat? I cannot wait until I am old enough to actually play in it. Maybe next year!

Knocked Out!

I am getting so big! I love to sleep in my swing during the day and when I sleep, I am knocked out. I have started rubbing my eyes whenever I am tired, so it is so great for Mom and Dad to know to put me down and let me try to fall asleep all on my own. I am becoming a better sleeper every day!
